How I Figured Out My Major

Hoje eu vou falar sobre como eu decidi minha profissão de engenharia aeroespacial.

Primeiramente, eu tenho muitos familiares que são da Força Aérea. Então eu praticamente tenho contato com esse mundo desde que eu nasci.

Ainda no Brasil, eu tentei entrar para a EPCAr, que e a escola de ensino médio da força aérea. Mesmo sabendo que eles são bem estritos em relação a problemas de nascença, etc.

Eu nasci com um rim que não funciona 100%, então isso seria uma pedra no caminho para eu poder ingressar na força aérea e me tornar um piloto. 

Mesmo com esse problema, eu ainda tenho muita paixão por aviões, e mesmo assim eu queria continuar trabalhando nesse ramo. Então por tudo isso eu decidi que me tornar um engenheiro aeroespacial.

Depois de tomar minha decisão sobre minha profissão, eu decidi vir para os Estados Unidos para ter mais oportunidades e poder ter uma melhor qualidade de vida do que teria no Brasil.

How I Figured out My Major

Today I am going to talk about how I decided that I want to become an Aerospace Engineer.

First of all, I need to tell you that I have many relatives in my family that are officials of the Brazilian Air Force. So basically since I was born I had some form of contact related to airplanes. 

In Brazil, there is an Air Force high school (EPCAr), so the students later become officials after graduating. So I wanted to go to that school, but they are very strict, so you cannot have any problems with your body. 

I was born with a kidney problem, so one of the two almost does not work. So that was a barrier to follow my dream and become a jet pilot.

I still wanted to work with airplanes, because they are so cool to me. That  was when I learned about the Aerospace Engineering, because I could still have contact with these amazing flying machines.

After setting my goal to become an Aerospace Engineer, I decided to come to the United States, because of the better education and better life that I would have in Brazil.
